What a messy MRT map in near future! I couldn't make out my familiar North South Line or the oldest East West Line for quite a big moment the first time Tak Yee showed this to me. OMG~!
Its like I finally understood why older people don't know how to take train. Next time when I'm old and have poor eyesight, how the hell do I differentiate those Orange & Yellow lines?! So close can the colors!
Imagine during peak hours when everyone else is pushing around at Raffles Place Station for eg., you want to find, let's say, Marymount Station on that madness MRT map.
With eyesight like a marksman, you will definitely spot that it is actually a station on the Orange Circle line with a blink of your eye.
And then, with a wit as quick as a rat, you will tell yourself, "OK! Change at City Hall, then Newton, then Adam!" before I can even find where the hell is Marymount Station on the map.
With fantastic memory, you will then zap the Red, Blue & Orange lines from Raffles Place to Marymount Station like a photocopy machine into your brain. I would just drop my jaw when I finally draw a diagonal line through the 2 stations to find there is no way I can make a decision, panic, and suddenly remember I've got a camera phone! yayyyyyy!!!
Camera phone?? Don't be silly, old lady! Maps are downloadable to your netmob*! You can even search for and plan your routes on the Google Universe version 20.572.38 or iPhone app 1, app 2, app 3, ... ... ... .. .. . EASY PEASY LA GRANNY!!!
